My dear friend Doris is missed every day Doris and I became friends in jr high I could fill the page with sweet memories of our fun times together. Doris loved her classmates and was looking so forward to our 50th reuion . Doris worked very hard on our web page and had so much fun doing it,everyone told her she did a great job, Doris will be missed at the reuion . We have lived in the same neighborhood since the seventies and shared such fun memories with our children together, though Doris has had some very hard times maybe like many of us up and downhill climbs she always had a smile on her face and kind words to her family and friends. When Doris first learned of her cancer in april only a short time before she left us she told me she just didn,t want to be a burden on anyone and hoped she went quick, she worked untill three weeks before her death ,she loved her job and her friends at GEUS,and couldn't have asked for a better employer and friends there, we all know why with her sweet smile and loving heart Doris as in everything she did gave her all, this will be a very sad reuion for me if she were hear I know she would have said go have fun and tell everyone hello for me and have lots of fun for me.even at the very end her last words she could speak were I love you and will be friends forever she repeated that many times in her last hours. Michael her son Alisa her daughter and grandaughter allison,Judith Walker and I and her loving hospice nurse Tammie were all by her side Doris had got to speak on the phone to her daughter and grandaughter in alabama who were hoping to get here before she died missed it only by a few hours . Im sure Doris is in Heaven now helping all the angels as she did everyone here , my dear friend has not been easy to lose a friend like that as im sure we all may have lost is hard to deal with .Prey for her childen as each of them are happy she's not hurting and having such a hard time breathing now, but there hearts still miss her so very much. they need our prayers to make day by day. GOODBYE AND REMEMBER FRIENDS FOREVER WE WILL WALK TOGETHER AGAIN SOMEDAY AND LAUGH LIKE BEFORE. ALWAYS MY DEAR FRIEND ,DONNA VANDYKE HALES
