
GREENVILLE — Richard Raleigh Davis, 70, of Greenville went to be with his Lord and Savior March 9, 2012 at his home. A graveside service celebrating Richard’s life is at 11 a.m. today at Leonard Cemetery in Leonard with Rev. Mark Slaughter officiating.
Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan is in charge of arrangements.
Richard was born Sept. 7, 1941, in Celeste to Henry Watson and Inis Mae Bennett Davis. Richard was raised and educated in Greenville. On May 31, 1960, he joined the United States Navy, serving his country for four years. Richard later became an assembler for Dearborn Heater and was employed there 11 years. He was a member of the Baptist denomination and loved the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Orville Ray Davis, nephew Clint Ernest Eubanks and niece Linda Davis Brumley East.
He is loved and will be missed by his sons, Matthew Rome Davis of McKinney and Mark Andrew Davis and wife Kristen of Aubrey; grandson Tate Manning Davis of Aubrey; sisters Geraldine Elaine Davis Eubanks of Colorado Springs, Colo., Margie Davis Easterwood and husband Bill of Lone Oak; a sister-in-law, Lorene Davis of Garland; nieces Nancy Davis Ramsey and husband Sam of Denver, Colo., Joey Elaine Goodwin of Colorado Springs, Colo., Jamie Dawn Easterwood of Greenville; nephew Michael Ray Davis of Garland; great-nieces McKenzie Ramsey of Denver, Colo., and Melinda Brumley Latte of Greenville; great-nephews Cooper Ramsey and Nolan Ramsey, both of Denver, Colo., Damien Riley Eubanks of Frisco, James Tate Goodwin of Rowlett, and Jeffery Lane Goodwin Jr. and Gage Jessie Goodwin, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a great-great-niece and great-great-nephews.
