Rondell (Ronnie) Leon Davis

Rondell (Ronnie) Leon Davis died on 29 NOV 2015 following a brief illness.  Rondell was born on 26 APR 1941 in Quinlan (Hunt County) TX to J.P. ‘Dalmer’ Davis and Buena Hulse.  Davis resided in TX, AR, OK and MS while growing up as his father worked in the oilfields.

Davis enlisted in the US Navy at 18-yrs where he served for over 21-years.  He retired as Chief Petty Officer, and he served on the USS Bennington, USS Oriskany, USS Intrepid and USS Enterprise.  He worked at VSE Corporation for 15-yrs following his Navy service.  Davis earned an AA degree in Business Management following his Navy retirement.

He enjoyed bowling, shooting, being a grandpa, watching NCIS, John Wayne movies and other western movies in his spare time.  He cheered for the Dallas Cowboys and chaperoning the women on their bowling trips.  He was extremely proud of his years in the Navy, his family and just being a Texan.

Rondell is survived by his beloved wife of 49-years wife, Carol; son, Bryan Scott Davis; two daughters, Michelle Riebe and Lori Tucker (hubby Chris); his nine grand-children; Janine, Jerralyn and Jaiden Davis; Anthony, Jonathan, Patricia and Bryan Riebe; Joshua and Austin Tucker; all of Oxnard (CA); sister and brother-in-law, Ovela and Will Anderson of Quinlan (TX); sister and niece, Charman and Amberly Davis of Greenville (TX).  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Carolyn Sikorski.

Services will be held at Conejo Mountain Funeral Home, 2052 Howard Rd, Camarillo (CA) on FRI, 04 DEC 2015, at 1000-hrs PST.
