Don Allen Duck, 27, 3905 Houston St., died Tuesday in Idaho Springs, Colo.
Funeral services are pending with Sorrells and Sons.
He was born Aug. 31, 1941, in Greenville, the son of Howard B. and Mary Duck. For the past three weeks he had been in Colorado employed with the lumber industry.
Mr. Duck, who attended Greenville public schools, was a member of the Lamar Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, a grandmother, Mrs. Walter Williams of Greenville; and two brothers, Howard B. Duck Jr., of Denver and Bill Duck of Cascade, Colo.
Funeral services for Don Allen Duck, 27, will be at 10:30 this morning in the Sorrells & Sons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Paul Clark and the Rev. Joseph Leatherwood officiating. Burial will be in East Mount Cemetery.
Mr. Duck died of accidental causes in Idaho Springs, Colo. on Tuesday. For the past three weeks he had been employed in the lumber industry in Colorado.
A native of Greenville, he was the son of Howard B. and Mary Duck and attended Greenville public schools.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Stevens, Barney Oliver, Joe Phillips, Carl Griffin, Benton Wolfe and Rex Eaton.

Don was a sweet guy and a gentleman. When I think of Don, I think of the time I was sitting at a red light on Lee Street beside the Post Office - we had graduated several years before. Don was crossing the street with his new bride. They were dressed up; Don had on a suit, and he was "escorting" his wife across the street with his hand on her back and walking so proudly. It was so sweet to see that. And that is the memory I have of Don Duck.
