I was sad to hear that Johnny had passed. We were both in Miss Gertrude's Kindergarden Class along with Betty Wilson, Carolyn Ford, and Nancy Franklin. Johnny was my very first boyfriend. I remember once we were just sitting there staring at each other (not paying attention to Miss Gertrude) and we had to stand in opposite corners as punishment. My next memory of him was at the country club after our Senior Dance. He was a little drunk and was sitting there talking to some of us and smoking a cigar. At one point he looked at that cigar and proceeded to flick his ashes into my glass of whatever I was drinking! He didn't skip a beat; just kept on talking as I sat there with my mouth open. He was a lot of fun. I'll miss him.
