GREENVILLE — Mike Strawn, 57, of Melissa (formerly of Greenville) passed away May 24, 2010, at Medical Center of McKinney. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Jack Howard officiating. Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Caddo Mills.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mike was born May 30, 1952, in Gainesville to J. Frank and Gladys Koger Strawn. On March 9, 1973, he married Beverly Joyce Tatom in Greenville. He worked in retail management and was a member of  the Church of Christ faith.

His survivors include his wife of Melissa; mother Gladys Owens of Greenville; children William Michael Strawn and wife Shelley of Farmersville, Aimy Hellen Rhyne and husband Jason of Princeton and Bradley Thomas Strawn of Wylie; brother “Buddy” Strawn of Arlington; sisters Marie Fairless of Bedford and Sharon Hale of Greenville; and grandchildren Chase Thomas Strawn of Wylie, Cooper Lynn Strawn of Farmersville and Graycin Lee Strawn of Farmersville.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother James Strawn.

Pallbearers will be Will Strawn, Brad Strawn, Gary Hale, Jason Rhyne, Ken Hale and Rick Pickard.

The family request memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Foundation.
