William "Billy" Gene Glenday

5/8/1963 – 7/17/2010

Billy Glenday, 47, of Greenville and formerly of Celeste, passed away peacefully July 17, 2010, in Greenville.  Billy was born May 8, 1963 in Altus Oklahoma to William and Virginia Glenday.

He was a loving husband, father, and friend.  Billy was a member of the Kingston Baptist Church. Billy worked at E-System for several years.  He enjoyed playing softball with his brother Mike and other friends in the city and church leagues.  Billy is survived by his wife, Shonna Glenday of Celeste; sons, Ryan Glenday of Celeste, and Justin Glenday of Milwaukee; mother, Virginia Glenday and step-father, Danny Reed of Greenville; Brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Gina Glenday of Greenville; sisters and brother-in-law, Jenny and Mark Christopher of Caddo Mills, Christie Sandlin of Greenville, Callie and Damon Wood of Hawaii; nieces and nephews, Mason Sandlin, Lori and Sara Christopher, Hayley Glenday, Terra West, Ashley and Cameron Wood, Taylea West, and Tennley Money; mother and father-in-law, Suzanne and Sammy Money.  He was preceded in death by his father, William in 2003.

A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday July 20, 2010 in the Lynch Funeral Chapel, located at 4238 Highway 34 South, with Randy Bird officiating.  Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Dunham, Robert Aikens, Sammy Joe Money, Scott Money, Mark Christopher, and Kendal Murphy. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to Huntingtons Foundation in New York, New York or on line at www.hdsa.org.
