Mike Rogers, passed away earlier this evening. He's not hurting anymore and is in a better place. Please keep Mike and his family in your prayers. I've known him since we were in grade school. He was one of the most kind-hearted persons you could hope to meet. I'll miss you Mike.

Mike Rogers, 47, of Greenwood passed away Friday, May 7, 2010, in a Little Rock hospital. He was a graduate of Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, was employed by the University of Arkansas at the vegetable substation, was a disc jockey known as MR Music and volunteer for the American Cancer Society and the Special Olympics. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Mount Zion Cemetery. Viewing will be today from 1-9 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6-8 p.m. He is survived by four brothers, Larry Rogers of Fort Smith, David Rogers of Greenwood, Kenny Rogers of Hartford and Rick Canada of Greenwood; one sister, Debbie VanDuynhoven of Trinity, Ala.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
