I took his hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all.I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or play.Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found that peace at close of day., If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy.A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too will miss.Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I’ve savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch. Perhaps my time seemed all to brief, Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and share with me,God wanted me now; He set me free.

Tony was my very first date. We were in 8th grade so we went with his parents to the Ft. Smith RiverFest. I remember they picked me up at 4:30 pm and we got home at 10:30 pm - an extremely long date for a first date, especially when we ran out things to talk about after 10 minutes! We stopped at the Pizza Inn on Hwy. 71 after the RiverFest. It was there I watched as Tony played video games for an hour! His mom, TJ kept motioning for him to get off Asteroids and come talk to us! His attempt at conversation was "Do you want to play? " haha. A couple of years later Tony ran over my foot after a ballgame in his little brown MG convertible. Thankfully, it was only my shoe that got torn up instead of my ankle. He bought me a new pair of shoes.

I remember Tony's fabulous sense of humor. I sat sandwiched between him and John Lentz during Algebra I, Mr. Sadler's class, and Tony was constantly pulling my hair or sticking a pencil in my back. And of coarse making fun of Mr. Sadler. I thought Tony was funny and he loved to joke. He was great to be around.
