I am sad to post that our friend Wanda Doerner died this week. Her twin sister Chris is having technical issues and can't access her computer or web page. She is grateful to all who have reached out and will contact friends when these issues are resolved.
Personally, Wanda had been a friend of mine for many years. We met as photographers for our yearbook. We shared a love of movies and the Beatles. She would always watch a movie through the end of the credits to see who did the editing. As many of you know, she was a video editor at WXYZ Channel 7. She retired in 2022 after 42 years! We also attended the Beatlefest in Chicago a few times and had so much fun. I'll miss her.

I am so sorry to hear of Wanda's passing, Sadly I haven't seen her in a long time but she was always positive and fun to talk with. I can still remember our first real conversation sitting next to her in a history class, and felt comfortable with her from that point on. She was smart, creative, funny, attractive, talented and interesting- a great combination that will really be missed! My sincere condolences to her sister Chris and her family and friends.
RIP Wanda,

Despite how sad the news about Wanda was, I must say thank you for posting, Sandy. I was so surprised and sorry to hear about her passing. She was always such a bright star all the way back to Freshman German class! She was a lovely and very talented woman. May she rest in comfort and peace. Sincere condolences to Chris, also.
