Al Ellis passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 in St. Clair Shores. He was an active member of our class who attended our 50th and 40th Reunions and was a friend to many.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, April 27th at A.H. Peters Funeral Home in Grosse Pointe. His family has requested that Al's obituary not be shared on social media.

I met Al in 9th grade and we've been good friends ever since. A grroup of us still meet Sunday mornings for breakfast, We lost a great friend and just a nice guy, will remember you always. Love you buddy!

Al was a very close and dear friend and I am still quite stunned of his recent passing. He was extremely humble and personable, qualities hard to find these days..... I am really glad that he was able to join me and so many other GPN Alums for the recent 50th reunion. I am also grateful that he, myself, and other GPN Alums Matt Bommarito, John Quasarano, Bill Tetro, and Tom Connor were able to attend the Woodward Cruise that very same weekend, as Al really enjoyed it. It is my sincere hope that Al is now in a better place and I pray daily that he is indeed there.
