Boca Ciega High School
Class of 1962

Welcome to the Boca Ciega High Class of 1962 website. We want to stay in touch with one another, and this site also makes it easier to plan future reunions and other special get togethers. Please log in periodically to make address, phone number, and email address corrections and to post photos of yourself and loved ones (grandchildren?), where you've been, and what you've been doing. It's a great way to make us feel close, despite distances that may still separate us.

Guests members who have special ties to 1962 BCHS graduates may contact Carol (Hill) Gruszka at or Sandra (Stacey) Dunn at to receive a link to join the site. [Please note: This site is maintained by unpaid volunteers. If we don't respond immediately, we may be traveling, but we'll be home soon.]

Since we have received so many sad messages, the purpose of this post is to give you a place to post good news of interest to your classmates and friends on the site.

Al Satterwhite's ELEVENTH book -- Paul Newman, Blue-Eyed Cool -- was published in June 2022, and he is now in talks with publishers about a 50-year retrospective. Who knew Al's photos of our 1962 football games would lead to such a career? (For more of Al's bio and publications, see fly-out under Classmates in the News.)

Guest website member (since 2013) Gary Miller's new book, "How America Is Being Destroyed from Within," has been selected for publication by Kindle and was distributed on Amazon in late June. It includes many personal stories of his life through the lens of the 1960's. Congratulations, Gary. We look forward to reading about our common experiences through these turbulent times and their resulting shift in society.

Thanks to ALL who have GENEROUSLY donated to our 60th reunion goal of $14,000. We now have received donations or pledges totaling $12,640!! Just $1,360 (or more) will mean we achieve goal.

Please help make our goal a reality by sending donations or pledges of any size, payable to BCHS Class of 1962, to Barbara Babcock Masson, Treasurer, 2101 Sunset Point Road, #1304, Clearwater, FL 33765.

We are continuing to plan our 60th BCHS Class of 1962 get together, to be held at Isla del Sol Yacht and Country Club on November 7 and 8, 2022. These dates are now FIRM and deposits have been made. Please respond to the survey (NOTE: New Question #2) concerning whether you plan to attend so we can effectively determine the number of classmates (and friends) who will be attending this event. We hope  you will try to attend (and will tell your HS friends who are not yet on the website) since this will doubtlessly be our last class-wide get together to commemorate our times together at Bogie and the people who helped to shape our young lives. The VOLUNTARY DONATIONS and PLEDGES we are receiving from generous donors will help to reduce the classmate costs of the event. We hope to see you there!

You must be logged in to submit this survey. Please use the login box in the upper right corner.
