Lee "Pete" Muschott

Lee Pete Muschott

Sadly, we have just learned of the death of classmate Lee Muschott, widely known by his friends as "Pete," who died just last month of mesothelioma. I have posted his obituary below. All who knew Pete are invited to list condolences.

**************************************************************************************************

Lee E. "Pete" Muschott died unexpectedly from complications of recently diagnosed mesothelioma on Sept. 20, 2021. An attorney in Fort Pierce for 47 years, he was known and loved for his keen sense of humor, friendship, outstanding memory, and passion for his work.

Pete graduated from Boca Ciega High School in Gulfport, FL; Florida State; and Stetson's College of Law (Cum Laude). He served honorably in the US Air Force, where he met his beloved wife of 49 years, Kathie. Pete was a a wonderful husband, father to Jennifer Muschott-Cuti, Marissa Muschott Martin and son-in-law Anthony Martin, and proud grandfather to Luke, Annalea, Eva Cuti, and Anthony "Quinn" and Elizabeth Martin.

Among many legal awards and honors, he most enjoyed his work for the Solo & Small Firm Section of the Florida Bar and presenting seminars for the Defense Lawyers Association. His family thanks his trusted legal assistant, Kathy Caruana, and attorney Michael Fowler for their work in closing Pete's law practice.

Pete was an enthusiast of motorcycles, classic cars, and airplanes. Touring on his motorcycle in many countries, he enjoyed dirt bike riding and Jeep Jamborees.

A Celebration of Life was held October 16th at 1:00 pm at Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce. Remembrance donations can be made to Moffitt Cancer Research at Moffitt.org/give. An online guest book may be signed at www.haisleyfuneralhome.com

How deeply saddened I was to learn of Pete's passing! What a happy, active, and "busy" person he always seemed to be and always with a big smile and ready comment. He will be missed. HIs earnestness and kindness to many provide a legacy of good memories to all who encountered him. May he rest in God's arms peacefully, knowing his master would say, "Well done, thoou good and faithful ervant!" Blessings to family and friends as we shall miss him   Cynthia Lankford Wilson in Burnet County, Texas
