If you would be happy to begin this very day
to accept the roses life has sent your way
and if amidst their beauty you find a thorn or two,
simply learn to treat them with the respect they're due!

It isn't always easy . . . but it's surely worth the while
to gather up your roses, arrange them with a smile.
Find satisfaction using the sharp as well as sweet,
creating something beautiful to make each day complete.

Because you dare to look beyond the thorns
to see the rose, you bring others courage, too
and so life's beauty grows.
