I remember Kim from the 10th reunion more than I remember her in school. We were in the ladies room and she had decided that her nylons were not nearly as helpful as they were uncomfortable and decided to mitigate the situation in a very small bathroon stall. Needless to say, it was extremely amusing and for those of us waiting to use the bathroon after many cocktails, laughing posed an equally amusing challenge!

Memory is an odd thing....what we chose to remember. I like to think at least when I remember her, that I remember her with a laugh! That can't be bad, right?

Guin, do you remember that? I think you were there too. Or maybe it was Gina?

It was probably Gina....but then who knows. LOL. I remember spending a lot of time with kim right before I moved to Memphis TN back in 1991. It was just before she found out she was pregnant with her daughter and we talked a lot about how she was going to handle being a single Mom and she and I struggled w/ our weight battles. As mine still goes up and down like a yoyo Kim and I use to talk about how to keep the motivation up to excersize. You know it is amazing. Kim and I did not really like each other in school at all and when we met up again after highschool we laughted often about how silly it was and how amazing it was that we had become close friends after all that.

I hate the fact that Kim Died in such a sad way and that her daughter did not have someone their to help her right away.....but knowing Kim she kept a close eye on her until help came.

Kim I visit your grave every few years just to say hi! Your truly missed and like Brenda I truly miss your laughter and seeing the humor in EVERYTHING. God bless you and may you be watching down on us all.

Kim was one of my best friends in high school and when she died I was crushed. I met her daughter Lydia last summer and she looks like Kim and it was amazing to share my memories and pictures with her. She was 5 when kim passed but had many people to help keep Kim's memory alive. She had an amazing sense of humor!!!

I can remember walking to the bus stop with Kim in high school... It is weird to think that was more than 25 years ago and she is gone... However, my earliest memory of her is from fourth grade. We were in Mrs. (Poison) Oaks' class...

I also remember talking to Kim about her daughter at the 10th year reunion. She was so proud of her. If I understand correctly, before her passing Kim accomplished her goal of completing her law degree and passing the bar. I will always be impressed by that - achieving her goal against all odds.

The shock of learning of her death, on the news no less, stays with me to this day. Walking out of the funeral to see the television cameras perched across the street was just weird. Her mother and stepfather were attending the church I attend at the time, but I hadn't realized WHO they were until they lost Kim.

I hope Lydia is happy and well. She is her mother's beautiful and living legacy.

Thinking about your Kim today and all the chats we use to have after high school when we both lived in the Beverly area. Had we not bumped into each other in the laundry mat we would have missed out on a good friendship....I'm so glad we both went to do laundry that day together. God Bless you you sill crazy zany woman
