James Ermi - Class Of 1973

James “Jim” Ermi FLORENCE - James “Jim” Ermi, age 60 of Florence died Saturday in Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Mr. Ermi was born in Trenton and was the son of the late Charles and Eugenia Laurent Ermi. He resided in Bordentown before moving to Florence 40 years ago. Mr. Ermi was a retired field organizer, employed by U E Local 155, Conshohocken, PA with 26 years of dedicated service and was formerly employed by Stryker Machine Shop, Trenton for 12 years.

Jim was a loving and devoted husband, father, pop pop, brother, uncle and friend. He will be affectionately remembered as the “Family Patriarch”. Some of his most enjoyable moments were spent with his grandchildren supporting their sporting events and activities. An avid bowler, he participated and competed in various bowling leagues throughout Mercer and Burlington counties. Mr. Ermi was a member of Sts. Francis & Clare Parish, Roebling and the Mercer & Burlington Counties Bowling Hall of Fame.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda C. Schwartzkopf Ermi, his children & their spouses, Frances & Keith Cafferty, Laura & Darnell Taylor & William & Lea Ermi, 6 grandchildren, Kayla, Allen, Aaren, Alexa, Freya & Odin, his siblings & their spouses, Charles & Joyce, Stephen & Michele, John & Shannon, Timothy & Michael, Francis & Rose & Thomas & Kim Ermi, Jeanne & Anthony Arroyo, Ann & Louis DeMille & Susan & James Campopiano, many nieces, nephews, grand nieces & grand nephews, sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Louise & Chuck Ward, Louis & Carol & Robert & Terri Schwartzkopf.

Funeral will be Friday 9:30 AM at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday 11:00 AM at Sts. Francis & Clare Parish, Holy Assumption Church, Roebling.

Friends may call Thursday from 6-9 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Holy Assumption Cemetery, Roebling. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Rd, 2nd Fl., Princeton, NJ 08540-1423, Attn: Donielle Bridgewater.
