In Memory

Diane Williams (Brett) - Class Of 1976

Diane Marie Brett

September 17, 1958 - June 22, 2020

Diane Marie Brett, 61, of Hamilton, NJ, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2020, after bravely battling cancer for five years and three months.

Born in Doylestown, PA, Diane was raised in Trenton, where she was a graduate of St. Anthony’s High School, Class of 1976, and later graduated from Rider College, Class of 1980. Diane was the Executive Assistant for Michael Hartsough with the law firm of Hartsough, Kenny, Chase, and Sullivan and later became the Office Manager for Kenny, Chase, and Costa until February 2019. For a short time, Diane was employed with Hamilton Township in the Mayor’s Office as an Office Administrator up until the end of 2019.

She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish for many years, where she was married and celebrated both daughters’ weddings at St. Anthony’s. Diane was a bright light in the galaxy of humanity; to be a more kind, caring, and loving individual would not be achievable. Her passion was her family. She always put them first and foremost. She was the number one fan for all three of her children’s academic and athletic endeavors throughout grade school, high school, and college. She loved taking pictures, dancing, going to the theater, traveling, and watching the Hallmark channel.

Predeceased by her parents, George M. and Grace L. (Higgins) Williams and her brother, Dennis; she is survived by her husband of 35 years, Sean H. Brett; her two daughters, Meghan Brett and her husband, Patrick Tobin; Caitlin Brett and her husband, Chris Pellegrinelli; her son, Sean Higgins Brett; and her siblings and in-laws, George and Claire; Michael and Debbie; Terry (wife of Dennis); Steve and Gayle; John and Lin; and Jen and Tammy.

Services and cremation were private and under the direction of Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
