Cynthia "Cindy" Ann Pate
OCTOBER 5, 1960 – SEPTEMBER 16, 2022
Obituary of Cynthia "Cindy" Ann Pate Cynthia (Cindy) Ann Pate, 61, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away on September 16, 2022. Cindy was born on October 5, 1960 to Ernest and Peggy (Cameron) Allen in Hamilton, Ohio. After graduating from Garfield High School in 1979, Cindy went on to study marketing at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1983.It was upon graduation that Cindy began to realize her skills as a ‘jill of all trades’. Her first job was in financial services at First Financial Bank though she held several others over the years and continued as an independent financial services representative advising clients on investment strategies until 2016. Changing gears, from 2002 to 2016, Cindy was a substitute teacher in the Fairfield City School District. Her last career move might seem the most diverse on her resume but it also makes the most sense to those that know her well. Baking was always a passion for Cindy and after following her husband, Greg, down to the greater Charleston area of South Carolina for work in 2017, Cindy decided to turn her passion for baking into a business. From the Heart Bakery was Cindy’s way of sweetening the lives of those around her whether that was for a birthday or most recently, for her son Chris’s wedding day.Cindy loved a pedicure, her dog Shelby, lighthouses, a good margarita and being with her family (any time) but especially summer vacations at the beach front property they would rent in Emerald Isle, North Carolina. We know that she is free and enveloped in the love of her father Ernie and brother Doug Allen who predeceased her. She is survived by her mother Peggy (Cameron) Allen, husband Greg Pate, sibling Ronald Allen, sons Chris Pate (Jennifer Rogers), Matt Pate and grandchildren Weston and Madeline, her Aunt Carolyn Allen as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins who love her dearly.A graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park in Hamilton, Ohio at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 30, 2022.
