Tim Weber

After graduation I attended Miami University for 2 yrs, didn't do well, enlisted in the Air Force (reserves), completed basic and tech school, MOS Security Forces. Joined Cincinnati Police in Oct 1972, promoted to Sergeant in 1986, retired with 32 yrs of service in July 2004. Married Donna Stahl, from Cleveland, Ohio on August 25th 1973. A brief interruption in my police career came in October, 2001. I was called to active duty as the result of 9/11 and was on active duty for 1 year, stationed at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton. I retired from the AF reserves in October, 2002 I am currently working corporate security at Cincinnati Financial Corporation in Fairfield since September 2004. Donna has been with St. Ann's Elementary School since 1976 and was named principal in 1988.

One thing I remember is our rivalry with Garfield during those years. I think it was my sophomore year we played Garfield in basketball 3 times, twice during the regular season and once in the tournament. The game at Taft was very close which we pulled out 70-65 (the only one we won of those 3 that year). As we were leaving, there was the usual taunts from the Griffin faithful, punctated with a few veiled threats and the obligatory obscenties. My best friend, Gary Willis said to me "Hey, lets act mad and pissed off so they will think we are with them. Maybe we won't get our asses kicked." Good plan...but I said, "Do you really think that will fly with me in my Taft school jacket?" He then proceed to reem my ass for having the audacity to wear that to a sporting event. The whole night it never dawned on him I had it on.
