JOE EARL BISHOP CEDAR LAKE, IN
Joe Earl Bishop, age 65 of Cedar Lake, met his daughter in heaven on February 23, 2010. He passed away after an extended illness at St. Anthony Hospice in Crown Point with his loving family by his side. Joe is survived by his wife of 43 years, Doris; son, Wayne Bishop of Cedar Lake; two sisters: Glenda (Jerry) Novak of Cedar Lake and Debbie Vercel of Hammond; brother, Dan (Karolyn) Bishop of Munster; sister-in- law, Penny (Ed) Smith of AZ; many aunts and uncles; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends: Jeff Riley, Audrey Werner and Ron Luzer. Preceded in death by his parents: Joe and Louise Bishop; and daughter, Mary-Jo. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 26, 2010 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at the
Burdan Funeral Home, 12901 Wicker Ave. (corner of Rt 41 & 129th Ave.) Cedar Lake. A service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Joe was a proud member of the United States Navy. He retired from LTV Steel after 35 years of loyal service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. Joe will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Anthony Hospice.
