
VanAlstine, David Paul MARCH 3, 2005 David Paul VanAlstine 60, Fortville, passed away February 28, 2005. He was born June 23, 1944 to Anna and Cyle J. VanAlstine. David graduated from Purdue University in 1966. He then worked as an Engineer Manager for Raytheon for 39 years. Mr. VanAlstine was a former Boy Scout, enjoyed woodworking, and model ship building. He also loved movies, lighthouses, photography, traveling and water activities. He was especially proud of his puppy, Skylar. Visitation will be Thursday, March 3 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Rd., with funeral services Friday, March 4 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 100 W. 86th St. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery. David is survived by his wife, Judy G. (Trent) VanAlstine; children, Lisa Ann VanAlstine, Laura Eve Kelleher (Mike), Dawn Apple (Jay), Sean Apple; brother-in-law, John Trent; sister-in-law Jan Power (Phil); father- and mother-in-law, Eugene and Mary Kathryn Trent; nephews, Dale VanAlstine (Patty), Terry VanAlstine (Theresa), Bill Power (Sallie); nieces, Diane Craig, Jennifer Wright (John); great-nephews, Cody and Casey Wright. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Cyle VanAlstine, and brother, Cyle J. VanAlstine, Jr. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Heart Hospital.
