I remember what a great guy Sandy was - always keep you laughing - he crossed my mind recently while home visiting family - still hard to believe he is gone even after all this time...
Some of my memories of Sandy involves us at college. But I first met Sandy when we both played Little League football with the small fries. We continued to become pretty good friends through middle school as I would spend at lot of time over at his house and had a crush on his older sister Lynn! LOL We spent a lot of time playing intermural softball at college and he was also involved with the football team at Baptist. I'll never forget that I was in Florida with my parents on vacation when I got the news that he was in his accident. I still go and visit him occasionally when I go home to visit my parents!
My earliest memory of Sandy is him blowing bubbles in his chocolate milk in first grade at Ben Hazel. I still have four leaf clovers he helped me find when we were in high school. When I came to work at WHHS I discovered that Atlas stand that was donated in his memory. I still think of him often.
Sandy..... was a wild and crazy guy that I will never forget!! He really knew how to ruffle the teacher's feathers with his interruptions and jokes. I really enjoyed the times we shared in each class we had. Sandy, I know that you keep the angels laughing every day. I will never forget you!!

I remember Sandy telling Jokes to keep T Dobson from giving up pop quizzes in Accounting class. The one about the chewing gum diet was my favorite.Sherry Capers
