Freddy Varela, Jr. passed away on August 14, 2012 at his home in Hanford, Ca. He was 39 years old. Freddy was born to Alfred Varela and Jeannette Olvera Varela on June 29, 1973 in Tustin, Ca. He grew up in Hanford and attended local schools. He graduated from Hanford High School in 1992 where he was a member of the wrestling and football teams. Freddy was an avid fisherman and often went deep sea fishing. He was also a devoted Dodger fan, attending many games each season with his friends. 

Freddy is survived by his father Alfred Varela, step mother Irene Varela, a son Chandler Varela, two daughters Victoria and Ashley Varela, his grandmother June Olvera, and two step brothers Joe and Michael Britton. He is preceded in death by his mother Jeannette Olvera Washburn, his grandfathers Joe Olvera and Candelario Varela, and grandmother Eloisa Varela. Freddy will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
