Richard Hemler

HANOVER Richard L. Hemler, 50, entered eternal rest on April 17, 2012, at the Hanover Hall Nursing Center. He was born February 5, 1962 in Hanover, the son of Doris (Becker) Myers of Hanover, and the late Larry Hemler. Rick graduated from South Western High School and was a member of the class of 1980. He was employed by the Hanover Terminal for approximately 25 years. Rick was a member of the Eagles, #1406, Hanover. Rick enjoyed art and was a life-long artist. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Andrew S. Hemler, Derrick L. Hemler both of Bonneauville; four brothers, Jeff Hemler of Gettysburg, Michael Hemler and his wife, Sandra of Hanover, Douglas Hemler and his fiance, Robin of Littlestown, Chris Hemler and his wife, Melissa of East Berlin; as well as several nieces and nephews. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In following Rick's wishes, the family requests casual attire for family and friends that plan on attending the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Hospice, 260 W. High St., Gettysburg, PA 17325. The Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, has been entrusted by the family with the funeral arrangements.
