John Santoro

John W. Santoro, 43, of Massachusetts, formerly of Rocky Hill, passed away unexpectedly much to the sorrow of his family. He was born on September 29, 1964 in Hartford and graduated from South Catholic High School in Hartford. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served four years as a search and rescue diver. He was employed as an automobile salesman for many years. He is survived by his wife Kris Santoro and his only son Joseph Santoro of Massachusetts; his loving parents Sal and Carmela (Italia) Santoro of Boca Raton, FL; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Vincenzo LaPira; three nephews, Vincent, David and Steven LaPira and a grandmother, Giuseppina Italia all of Wethersfield. He also leaves the following aunts and uncles of Wethersfield and Rocky Hill: Michael and Tina Rizzo, Michael and Josephine Infantino, Vinny and Lucy Ingenito, Joanne and Joe Fichera, Louis and Nuccia Prado, Claudio Santoro as well as many cousins and friends. John was predeceased by his grandfathers Salvatore Italia and Giovanni Santoro and his grandmother Rachela Santoro. There will be a mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 16 at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Entombment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. There are no calling hours. The D'Esopo Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
