
Reginia (Lee) Philip, 48, of East Hartford, beloved wife of Ruben Philip, passed away unexpectedly at home Saturday (June 30, 2001). She was born Oct. 19, 1952, a daughter of the late Malcolm F. Lee and Lucille (Hughes) Lee. A Hartford native, Reginia attended local schools and graduated from Weaver High School in 1970. She also attended the former Greater Hftd Community College while working briefly at G. Fox and Co. She was a volunteer community activist at A.H.O.C. Besides her husband she leaves to mourn two brothers and five sisters, Wayne Lee (Delores) of Bloomfield, Byron Lee of Htfd., Valerie Williams (James),of Htfd., Judith Ryan (Robert) of Windsor, Meredith McKelvey (Henry) of East Hftd., Karen Ryan of Bloomfield, Belinda Clarke (Alton) of Bloomfield. Mourning her also are 24 much loved nieces and nephews and many great nieces, nephews, uncles, aunt and cousins. The family wishes to thank the East Hartford VNA staff, employees, and residents at St. Elizabeth Manor, East Hartford Intercommunity Health Center and the many different ministries that visited her. Funeral services will be held at Hopewell Baptist Church in Hartford, Thursday July 5, 11 a.m. funeral with calling hour at 10 a.m. Burial at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery.
