Robert Williams

Robert "Bobby" Williams was born on May 26, 1952, in Hartford. He passed away from a short illness on Friday (July 9, 2004). He lived a full and wonderful life. He graduated from Weaver High School in Hartford in 1970. Bob did his undergraduate work as an Education major at Linfield College in McMinnville, OR, on a football scholarship and graduated in 1974. He received his Master's Degree in Education from Stanford University in 1975. His first teaching position was in Anchorage, AK. In 1979, he was the owner of the Nautilus of Alaska Fitness Club. He moved to the Bay Area in 1984 to manage the Clark Hatch Physical Fitness Center. He joined the San Leandro Unified School District as an Elementary Physical Education Teach and Assistant Varsity Football Coach. He was a Vice Principal at the San Leandro High School. At the time of his death, he was the Vice Principal at Bancroft Middle School. In 1985, he met the love of his life and soul mate, Eileen Robins Williams, who passed away in 2002. After marrying Eileen, Bob became a father to Ernest, Maya and Simone and a grandfather to Zachary, Brandon, Imani, David, Danarius, Essau and Erica. He leaves to mourn his father, Willie Frank Williams (his mother preceded him in death); his brothers, Willie Frank the third and Alfred as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from across the country.
