Delores Bell

Delores Bell, 51, of Hartford, CT passed away at her residence on June 24, 2018. She was born in Hartford on April 17, 1967 to Etta M. Bell and the late Louis R. Bell. Delores was gainfully employed by Charter Oak State College as the Coordinator of Special Programs for over 10 years. Delores obtained a Master's in Counseling from St. Joseph University in West Hartford, CT and was a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Delores is remembered for her steadfast and dedicated faith in the Lord. Delores loved working with youth at church, inspiring students to pursue higher education, spending time with her nieces and nephews and watching movies in her spare time. Some may know Delores as "Go-Go" and others as Prophet D. However, you may have known her, you know that she loved to dance, loved Michael Jackson and most importantly she wanted to share the love of God with everyone.

Delores was a walking miracle; she was diagnosed with cancer years ago and together, her and God fought the good fight. With direction from God, Delores changed her diet, added supplements to her daily regime and took a spiritual approach with tackling the disease. Delores was only lead by God's Word and did not allow the medical world to shake her faith. Delores was determined to share her testimony about her journey and if she was here today she would tell you, "ALL things are possible through Christ and by His stripes, I am healed." Delores has touched several hearts and lived her life as a faithful servant. She did not allow cancer to cripple love, shatter hope or destroy her faith.

Besides her mother she leaves behind to cherish her memories; brothers, Louis Haneef of Florida and wife Diane, James Bell of Georgia and wife Glynis, and Wayne Bell of Virginia and wife Sandra; sisters, Cynthia Jones of Florida, Patricia Bell of Connecticut, and Antoinette Bell-Blanks of Connecticut and husband Richard. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends; special friend LaVerne Littles. She was predeceased by brothers Ronnie Bell and Michael Williams and sister Linda Bell.
