My brother, Jack, served in the volunteer fired department with Robbie until he retired and moved out of state. They were good friends despite a significant age difference and shared their dedication to protecting the community through their volunteer service. I was glad to be able to see Robbie whenever I would return to Hastings. He always had the same smile and laugh that he had in high school.
