David was a good friend who I had th epleasure to hang out with...and who introduced me to the existence of girls. It was only after a baseball game at the Burke Estate where my team of mosty St Matts'  engaged in the last big sandlot baseball game against Dave's team of HHS kids...and midway in the game adlescence ended and puberty officially kicked into high gear when the game stopped because Marie Kelly got stuck in a tree... Thankfully, Laurie Lamont was able to stop the game for the good cause of helping Marie out of a tree.  Why Marie and Laurie happened across that game, we can onlt guess...and assume, That what they did changed the course the guys enhgaged int he game...there is no doubt.

And as I reminisce about puberty...it was in the boy's locker rooms that Dave told me how to kiss a girl, and what to do on a date. He was THAT kind of good friend...:)
