Syd was my side kick. Tragically, she was killed in a car accident when she stopped to help another motorist. She was on her way to the shore. It was August 10,1968. I think of her often. She had no idea how special she was to others. Her memory and sense of humor will always be with me.
Syd was well loved. My last memory of her was watching Rosemary's Baby with her at the drive-in with my infant daughter, Courtenay, asleep in the back seat. It was the night before she was killed. We all wonder what Syd would have done as an adult. She was good at everything.
