Carol M. Kaelin Kaelin, Carol M. GUILDERLAND Carol M. Kaelin, 62, of Guilder land, passed away on August 8, 2013. Born in Kew Gardens, N.Y. in 1950, she attended Hauppauge High School and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts from the State University at New Paltz in 1973. Carol was a loving wife, proud mother, beloved sister and adored grandmother. Carol was a child and long-time resident of New York City, a city she loved for its character and culture. There she worked as a CFO for a leading talent agency before moving to Guilderland, N.Y. in 1991. In Guilderland she became an impassioned journalist at the Altamont Enterprise where she covered local news and sports for close to a decade. After her retirement she continued enjoying her hobbies of reading, theatre and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Hy L. Dubowsky; and is survived by her son, Eric Dubowsky and his wife Sarah of Ridgewood, N.J.; her son, Ryan Dubowsky; her daughter, Margaret Dubowsky; her brothers, Bruno Kaelin, Walter Saul, Michael Saul, Geoffrey Saul and Jim Saul; and her sisters, Judy Schaeffler, Evie Lubrano, Karen Lloyd, Joanne Feore; and her two grandchildren, Alexis and Magnus.
