Wayne, had a rough life and was misunderstood by many. He was however a really sweet guy once you got to know him and a good friend. We spoke often over the last 40 years and he always liked to tell stories about our high school years he said it was the only happy time in his life. He went in the hospital the end of November, he had been fighting Diabetes and congestive heart problems for the past few years. Wayne passed on December 22, 2009 in the VA hospital in Columbia SC and is at rest at the national Cemetary in Columbia. I hope he is in a happier place now. Good Luck and God Bless old friend.
