ELIZABETH "BETH" A. CRESSE

JANUARY 26, 1955 - AUGUST 13, 1998

MUSKEGON, Mich. – Elizabeth “Beth” A. Cresse, 43, former Hays resident, died Thursday, August 13, 1998, at Hackley Hospital.

She was born Jan. 26, 1955, in Hays to Kenneth and Elizabeth (Polifka) Schmeidler.  She was a graduate of Fort Hays State University and California State Fullerton with a master’s degree.

She married Stewart Cresse on March 21, 1992.  She had been employed as the chief financial officer at Hackley Hospital the past eight years.  She attended St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church and Christ Community Church. She was on the board of directors of Region 14 Council of Aging, a Health Care Forum Fellow and a member of HFMA.

Survivors include her husband; her parents, Hays; a son Adam; three daughters, Regina Gross, Kelli Cresse and Emily Gross; a brother, Steve, Hays; a sister, Carla DeRemer, Holland, Mich.; and her grandparents, Charlie and Regina Polifka, Hays.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Christ Community Church, Spring Lake, Mich. with the Rev. Richard Rhem and Father Charles Polifka officiating; burial in the St. Mary Cemetery.

Visitation is from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the Clock Funeral Home, Muskegon.

A memorial Mass will be held in Hays in the near future.  The time and date of the Mass and further memorial suggestions will be announced at that time.
