Paulina always amazed me. We met when she came to Highland Elementary in 5th grade, where she taught me how to do the "dare drop" off the high bars. She was so smart and quick and witty. I enjoyed being around her. God bless you, dear person.
I had some very long conversations with Paulina about sociology, religion, family customs, and family history. She was intensely curious about people and had no reservations about introducing herself and asking questions. Her questions always stimulated me to learn more about myself. I felt she could have been very good researcher. She was probably the smartest person at the school at the time, and certainly the most motivated to learn. She changed the way I thought about how we all interact with each other. She was onto something good. I'd like to know what she did after high school.
