Richard Caldwell Obituary

Caldwell, Richard D. Rick entered into rest, Saturday, July 16, 2011. Beloved son of Norma and the late Chuck Caldwell; dear brother of Linda and Dave (Patti) Caldwell; caring uncle of Megan, Ashley (Mike), Tom (Lisa) and Carrie (Shannon); dear greatuncle of Colton and Alivia; former husband of Pamela Geller, cousin, nephew and friend of many. Rick was hired by McDonnellDouglas after completing his college education. He had an extensive career with the McDonnell /Boeing Co. for over 30 years. Early in his career, he suffered a tragic auto accident that left him a quadriplegic. An extensive and lengthy rehabilitation effort enabled him to return to work. The company declared Rick the most severely injured employee, who was able to continue his employment with them. Rick proved himself to be the ultimate survivor under extraordinary circumstances.
