Eugene Joseph Stark

Eugene Joseph Stark, 66, passed away on January 11th, 2024 in Mansfield, TX. He was born on August 27th, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri to Eugene Emil and Barbara Rose Stark.    

Gene graduated from Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology in 1980 with a BS in Aeronautics. His lifelong career was in Aerospace Engineering.  He worked for McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis before moving to Arlington, Texas to specialize in the development of the wing-section of the B-2 “Stealth” Bomber.  He stayed with one company his entire professional life, though it went through many name changes: LTV, Vought, Northrop Grumman to name a few, eventually retiring from the Triumph Group in 2016.

He married Nancie Anne Sztukowski in 1981. They were happily married for 42 years. Gene was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. His passions were fishing, science fiction (particularly Star Trek), the Dallas Cowboys, the St. Louis Cardinals, and an ice-cold beer with family and friends.

Gene was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his spouse Nancie; his sons Daniel Eugene and David Joseph and his daughter Kelly Louise Woodruff, and their spouses Sheila, Melanie, and Reid; his grandchildren Jonathan, Ava, Emma, Mae, Liam, Wren, and Sophia; his mother, Barbara; his sister Mary, and his brother Steve.
