James "Jim" Richard Svoboda, a loving father, son, brother, and uncle, passed away on February 7, 2024, at the age of 66. He was born on May 31, 1957, in St. Louis, Missouri, the beloved son of Raymond and Anna (Reddan) Svoboda. James resided in St. Ann, Missouri. Jim had a passion for collecting and building. He found joy in assembling model cars and puzzles, showcasing his meticulous attention to detail. With his skilled hands, he crafted beautiful woodworking pieces that were a testament to his creativity and dedication. Jim had a deep appreciation for motorcycles, reveling in the freedom of the open road. He also had a collection of eagle memorabilia, symbolizing strength and freedom, which adorned his home. A devoted father, Jim leaves behind his loving mother, Anna Svoboda of St. Peters, Missouri; daughter, Kelsey Boggs and husband Nick of St. Peters, Missouri; son, Jason Svoboda and wife, Breanne of Bryan, Texas; brothers: Keith Svoboda and wife Jerri of St. Charles, Missouri, Matt Svoboda and wife Dana of St. Charles, Missouri, and John Svoboda and fiancé Beth of Foristell, Missouri; sisters: Judy Aubuchon and husband Mike of Surprise, Arizona,
Mary Beth Petti and husband Steve of Hudson, Ohio, Rene Miller and husband Tony of Moscow Mills, Missouri, Amy Russo and husband Mike of O'Fallon, Missouri, and Jennifer Bangert and husband Greg of St. Charles, Missouri; grandchildren: Maci Boggs, Hazel Svoboda, and Harper Svoboda. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Svoboda; sister, Tricia; and brother, Bryan. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Valhalla Chapel of Memories, 7600 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Louis, Missouri, 63133. A funeral service to celebrate Jims's life will be held immediately following visitation at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Valhalla Cemetery, where Jim will be laid to rest.
