Jeff Blewett, 53, died Friday, April 13, 2001, near San Diego, due to a motorcycle accident.

Jeff was born in Helena on Sept. 23, 1947, to Lloyd and Jeannette Blewett. He grew up in Helena and graduated from high school there in 1965. He later attended Montana State University.

Jeff’s career over the years involved design and development of technologically advanced devices. His most recent work was with minimally invasive surgical instruments.

He is survived by his wife, Goretti of Plantsville, Conn.; his mother; two sisters, Bonnie Donohue of Placid Lake and Arlene Loble of Wilsonville, Ors.; and two brothers, Mark of Heber City, Utah and Gary of Helena. His father preceded him in death.

Jeff’s cremains will be scattered on the ocean near San Diego later this week.
