Our dear husband, father, grandfather, son and friend David Lee Bovee passed away on Wednesday September 20, 1995, in South Jordon, Utah following a gallant battle with a brain tumor.

David was born on May 29, 1947, to William Robert and Dorothy Lea (Miller) Bovee in Miles City, Montana.  He attended Opheim, Glasgow, Scobey and East Helena Elementary Schools and graduated from Helena High School in 1965.  He went on to graduate as a mining engineer from Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology in Butte. He married Theresa Lee Frasier on March 23, 1968, in Couer d' Alene, Idaho.  She preceded him in death on February 3, 1990.  David married LuAnn Groves on May 2, 1992, in Shelley, Idaho.

Dave was the owner and president of his own company, Centennial Development Company, and was well known in the mining industry as an intelligent and hardworking individual with many admirable qualities.  Dave also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and horse shoeing.

He is survived by his wife, LuAnn; son and daughter-in-law, Blaine Lee and Aimee C. Bovee of Riverton, Utah; daughter, Veronica Lea Bovee of Hawthorne, Nevada; father Robert and mother Dorothy Bovee of East Helena; grandchild Marresa Elee Bovee also of Riverton; brother, Rodger and his wife Rena Bovee of Belgrade; and brother Greg and his wife Kathy Bovee of Jefferson City; his sister Judy and her husband Ed Seimers of East Helena; also LuAnn's four sons:  Blake, Blandon, Blair and Blaine.

The Bovee family expresses gratitude to the doctors, nurses and loving friends and neighbors who compassionately cared for David.

Friends may pay their respects Sunday from noon unitl 8 p.m. at the Retz Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Monday September 25, 1995, at 2 p.m. at the East Helena United Methodist Church with Rev. R. James Heikes officiating.  Interment will follow in the East Helena Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in David's name to the American Cancer Association, P.O. Box 1080,  Billings, Montana 59103-1080.
