Gayle Darlow McCormick died of natural causes at the age of 63 on March 26, 2010, in Spring Creek, Nev.

Gayle was born on Nov. 20, 1946, in Superior. Gayle was the daughter of Bill and Eileen Darlow.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Gayle was happiest when surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Patrick McCormick; her brothers and sisters, John (Karen) Darlow, Bud (Ester) Darlow, Karen (Francis) Beehler and Kay Crowley; her daughters, Tami (Jeff) Norstrom, Kimberly (Lucas) De La Paz and Patricia (Kerry) Howard; and her grandchildren, Andrew De La Paz, Lindsay Norstrom, Victoria De La Paz, Shawn Brown and Dominic Howard.

Services were held at Burns Funeral Home on Friday, April 2, at 11 a.m. with a reception that followed at the McCormick residence 89 Licht Pkwy., Spring Creek.

Because Gayle was a breast cancer survivor and battled lupus, the family asks in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Gayle’s name to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or the Lupus Foundation of America.
