Carolyn (Edden) Bright

January 3, 1947 – February 18, 2019

Carolyn (Edden) Bright passed away on February 18, 2019, after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Carolyn was born January 3, 1947 in Deer Lodge, Mt., the daughter of George and Lois Edden. She attended grade school in Avon, then moved to Helena and graduated from Helena High School. Carolyn was working as a car hop at Ted's Drive In when she met her future husband, Tom. She then moved into the food service field working at St Peters Hospital and Cooney as one of the head cooks.

Carolyn married Tom Bright in June 1966 and became a stay at home mom to Tom (Spider); Carla and Doug, later adopting her grandson, Brandon. She was also the caregiver of her grandson, Chance.

Carolyn enjoyed spending time with family, camping and fishing at Black Foot City, picking huckleberries and relaxing at the Coty cabin. In later years she went zip lining, river rafting and traveling to Canada and Wyoming to visit family. She especially enjoyed going to garage sales.Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Tom: parents, George and Lois: siblings: George, Pat, Dave and Ann.  She is survived by her children: Tom, Carla (Rick), Doug (Carolynn), and Brandon. Grandchildren: Chance, MacKenzie, Keith, Christina, Katey, Trace, Ben and Harrison. Siblings: Steve (Barbara) Edden, Linda (Randy) Coty, Roberta Patrick (Jay), Lewis (Rhonda) Patrick and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Special thanks to  Dr. Weiner and his awesome staff at the Cancer Treatment Center and St. Peters Health for the wonderful care Carolyn received.

A private service will be held later this spring.  Memorials in honor of Carolyn can be made to the Cancer Treatment Center, Lewis & Clark Humane Society or donors choice.
