Richard Leslie LaFromboise

Richard Leslie LaFromboise of 2004 Cannon died Tuesday at his home from complications of a prolonged illness.  He was 41.

Mr. LaFromboise was born to Mary Josephine Martell LaFromboise and the late Dean "Dan" LaFromboise, Nov. 5, 1945, in Helena.  He attended Helena High School.  He also attended Western Montana College at Dillon on a football scholarship.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed sports.

Mr. LaFromboise was an active boilermaker for the past 20 years and was employed by P.S.F. Industries of Seattle, Wash.  He traveled extensively for this company throughout the western states.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dan and two sisters, Clara DeLong and Virginia Lloyd. Survivors include his daughter, Yvonne Renee LaFromboise of Helena; his mother, Josephine LaFromboise of Helena; sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise and Clifford Hurbert of Helena, Cecelia and Pete Sangray of Helena, Lillian and Travis Bell of Texas, Ramona and Walter Smith of Mississippi, Joan and Jack Renfreau of Yakima, Wash.; sisters, Marie Poepping of Yuma, Colo. and Arlene LaFromboise of Roanoke, Va.; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Leah LaFromboise of Craig; brothers, Joseph LaFromboise and William LaFromboise, both of Helena; several nieces and nephews, including Albert and Carol Nelson of Seattle; and a very special friend, Joan Williams of Helena.

Cremation has taken place.  Wake service will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Hagler-Anderson Chapel and memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. from the Cathedral of Saint Helena, with the Rev. John Darragh officiating at both.
