John Clifford "Skip" Mola aka John Clifford "Skip" Greene

Wednesday, July 2, 1947 – Thursday, April 15, 2021

Skip passed peacefully April 15, after a three year struggle with health issues. He was born in Helena, MT, to Johnny and Lloraine Greene July 2, 1947, and moved to Portland, OR, in 1968. He is survived by siblings, Susie Vannatta in Arizona, Bonnie Tokofsky in New York, and Rusty in Kalispell, MT.

In April of 1970 he married Susan Anrys and they were blessed with two wonderful sons, Chris and Jason. Chris is here in Vancouver, WA, Jason lives in Bend, OR.

Skip took early retirement from Corwin Beverage in 2003 and concentrated on having fun. He and Susan traveled thru the Southwest, Southeast, and took two extended trips to Europe, England, Ireland, Wales, France, Belgium, Italy, Greece and Crete. He loved it all! At home he enjoyed puttering around in his lawn and making casino runs to play the slots.

He is remembered by his boys for his spirit, great sense of humor, compassion, work ethic and love of animals. He was our protector and our rock.

Skip requested that there be no funeral, but if COVID allows we will have a celebration later in the year.

You might honor him by "paying it forward". It was one of his favorite things. When you are out for lunch.. or dinner.. or going thru the drive thru, secretly pick your target and pay for their meal......and leave before they know.

Lastly, we want to offer special thanks to Gabe McCoy, Jenni Hale, and Wendy Godel (as Skip would say "his spare kids!") for their constant support during these difficult times. And to my friend Mona Godel... Thank you, thank you, thank you!

(Note:  John was more widely known to us as Skip Mola and his name appears as John Mola in the 1965 Vigilante and as John Clifford Mola on the Commencement List. His father, John Robert Greene, died before John was born. His mother married William Mola in 1950 and he must have taken the Mola name at that time.}
