Diana Lou “Auntie Di” (Morris) Dickert

February 4, 1947 – January 23, 2018

Diana Lou Dickert, or better known to many as Auntie Di, passed away January 22, 2018. She was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother and most importantly friend. She did so many things for so many people and meant so many things to so many people. She is truly unforgettable.

Auntie Di was born February 4th 1947 to Edward and Esther Morris, at St. John’s Hospital in Helena Mt. She was raised in Helena and graduated from Helena High in 1965. She enjoyed telling stories about her adventures living in Arizona, Louisiana and Great Falls. She then returned to Helena where she met her life partner Charles who she married on September 1st, 1978. Helena is where she lived out the rest of her life, but would never hesitate to travel and take adventures to meet up with old and new friends.

She enjoyed many things in life, music, fishing, games, puzzles, camping, and sewing. She was definitely a Montanan. She would often go fishing with her dad or husband and it wasn’t uncommon to find a fishing pole in her car. She also taught her son how to fish.

When she would talk about Jesus her eyes would light up. She not only loved Jesus but she loved like Jesus. Her passion was people. She was a collector of friends and she loved them all unconditionally. She was selfless in giving everything she had to offer whether it be a gift, her time or simply a word of wisdom. She had a laugh that would brighten your day and a sense of humor that everyone enjoyed. She would always drop everything to help a friend without expecting anything in return.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Esther Morris.

Diana is survived by her husband, Charles Dickert of Helena MT; son, Jared (Delsey) Dickert of Wenatchee WA; sister Sharron Kirkness of Absarokee, MT; brother, Ronald (Terry) Morris of Helena, MT. and her many cousins, nieces and nephews.
