Steven James Rickman

Steven James Rickman, 70, of Laurel passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Billings Clinic hospital in Billings. Steven was born on June 26, 1947 in Billings to Ezra G. and Harriet J. (Schwenneker) Rickman.

Steven attended schools in Billings, and later attended the University of Montana in Missoula, graduating with a bachelor’s degree. Steven served his country in the United States Marine Corps and later as the Assistant Chief for the United States Border Patrol.

On September 28, 1985, Steven married his love, Sharon Dianne Shornak in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Steven was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother, Harriet Rickman; wife, Sharon Rickman; and sister Cathy (Dennis) Hoyem and children Jennifer (Cory) Butler and Steven Hoyem; Sister-in-law Glenda (Stan) Bishop and her sons Jason & Brett Bishop; numerous other relatives, along with his devoted friends: Doug (DeLana) Bauer, Bob Engel, Don Peterson, Louis Bonini, Heather (Jordan & Jacob) Wright. Steven loved his “Sassy” and “Duece.”

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday September 14 at Cremation & Funeral Gallery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
