John Sidney "Jack" Robertson died July 24, 2002, at St. Peter's Hospital. He was born Nov. 5, 1946, in Helena and was the son of Sid and Velma Robertson, also deceased.

Jack attended Helena-area schools and graduated from Helena High School. He worked for D.N. Latus Company, Mountain Bell, the East Helena smelter, Schwan's, and until his death, was a custodian at the Helena Middle School.

Jack loved reading and attending horse races with his uncle, Gene Robertson. He participated in the Big Brothers and Big Sisters program and the relationship he established there meant a great deal to him.

He is survived by three sisters, Beverly Spoja and Becky Price of Helena, and Colleen Tingey of Springville, Utah. He is also survived by his uncle Gene Robertson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering of friends and family will be held Saturday, July 27, at 11 a.m. at the top of Flescher Pass. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Big Brothers and Big Sisters program, 33 Neill Ave., Helena, MT 59601.
