Douglas Leroy Robinson

Douglas Leroy Robinson

April 21, 1947 - October 26, 2016

Douglas Leroy Robinson passed away quietly in his sleep on October 26, 2016. He was 69 years old. Doug had been suffering with numerous medical issues over the last decade, but is now free of his pain, and probably losing a round of golf to the Lord.

Doug was born in Helena, MT on April 21st 1947 to Richard C and Dorothy A Robinson. Doug grew up in Helena, and graduated from Helena High School in 1965. After a year of college, Doug joined the United States Marine Corps, where he served for two years.

It was during his service in the Corps that Doug met and married Patricia Elliott. Together they had two children, Jason and Brandie. This young marriage would not last, but on November 6, 1984, Doug married Jeannie Hahn Terry, and their marriage lasted 32 years, until they were parted by his death. During that time, Doug was a father to Jeannie’s children from a previous marriage, Anna, Jennifer and Dennis Terry.

Doug worked for Diebold, where he was a bank equipment technician, until 2006, when he became too ill and took medical retirement.

Doug is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Dorothy, and his stepdaughter Jennifer Terry. He is survived by his wife, Jeannie, his son Jason (Laurie), and daughter, Brandie, stepdaughter Anna (John) and step-son Dennis (Kay), brothers Kent (Rosie) and Ron (Carole) Robinson, sister Karen (John Kropp) Robinson, his beloved kitties, Kiwi and Avi, and other family and friends too numerous to mention.

Doug did not want a funeral. He requested that he be cremated and his ashes be scattered at the old cabin site near Alice Creek, where he spent so many great times with friends and family. Cremation has taken place, and there will be a celebration of Doug’s life with close friends and family at the cabin site in the spring of 2017.
