HENDERSON, Nev. - Connie Rae (Shepherd) Hood, 59, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at her home in Henderson, Nev.

Connie was born to Floyd and Betty Shepherd on Aug. 20, 1947, in Helena. She attended schools in Helena and graduated from Montana State University in 1971. Warren and Connie have lived in several cities in the past 38 years, including Salem, Mo.; Elko, Nev.; North Bend, Ore.; Anchorage, Alaska; and most recently made their home in Henderson, Nev., close to their two daughters Stephanie and Amanda.

Connie was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother and raising her two daughters. After the daughters moved out on their own, Connie went to work as a bookkeeper. She was involved with a variety of crafts, most notably her quilting. She shared her works of art with her family so we all have a part of Connie with us.
