Sandra Jenson (Kelly)

Sandra Jensen Kelly, 42, of Missoula, died of cancer Aug. 31 at her home.

Born Sept. 1, 1947, in Helena to Lloyd and Belva Jensen, she attended grade and high schools in Helena.

She was an accomplished artist and enjoyed the fine arts. She had a great love of animals and often entered her dogs in obedience trials.

She worked as a travel consultant in Missoula for many years and served on the advisory board for the University of Montana School of Fine Arts. She had a fondness for and was a loyal supporter of the university’s football and basketball programs.

She is preceded in death by her father and one sister.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Kelly of Missoula; her mother, of Helena, two sisters, Beverly Tobol of Helena and Joyce Lutey of Spokane; a brother, Lloyd “Skip” Jensen of Spokane, and numerous nieces and nephews.

An informal remembrance gathering of friends and relatives will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at McKay’s On The River at 1111 E. Broadway in Missoula. Sandra asked that memorials be made to the Missoula Humane Society Animal Shelter at 1105 Clark Fork Drive, Missoula 59801.
